Gonial angle feeling high but when measuring its ideal (pics included)

Title tbh. Like why do I feel like my gonial angle is much higher all the time. Like when I look at the picture that isn’t measured I feel like it looks much higher.

Is there a reason for this? And is there any way to fix it? I’m not recessed or anything.

And have I even measured right?
