Originally thought my ramus were different lengths, then I realised my left gonion is neutral whilst right is more outwards in comparison. Anybody know why is this? Is this muscular issue habitual issue etc. Or is there a test to find out where the issue stems from. If so fixable etc. I think the difference in this neutral/outward angles causes my facial assymetry. Any help would be great. I’m newly 17 soon, cheers.

I can be muscular, skeletal or habitual. You might find yourself chewing on one side more often. You can try a cbct scan?

Do you think things like jaw trainer and back sleeping is cope at this point? Or worth a shot i’m not really sure

same, my gonia is assymetry at bone level, impossible to fix without major surgery,
probably cause by unbalance muscle usage on one side, my left side tend to do more facial expression, and biting on right side,
i can see slight droop, longer ramus on right side, and weaker jaw and higher angle gonial on left
other people say they cant see the differences without observing closely, but it so obvious to me in the mirror and picture

Yeah I feel the same way. My left ramus feels longer, and thus higher gonial angle on my right. Everybody says they can’t tell but every photo I can tell and it’s so infuriating haha

Only way to change it is through surgery but I wouldn’t stress

i measured mine, it was at least 3-5mm differences

Could be the muscle, try flexing it and see if one feel bigger,if so chew more on the other side,if mot surgery is necessary
