I wish I studied a STEM degree. I did a non stem degree and struggle to get into grad programs. Professional financial or consulting services (IB, VC, PE, MC) prefer people with STEM degree, so there is little reason to not do hard STEM. Even if you get shit results you will have expanded your brain more than non STEM grads and will be more valuable to any regular business than someone who is not quantitative.

There is little point. I'm nearly 28 yo (average intelligence, fully developed brain, neuroplasticity is reduced) and an unemployed NEET with ~50k of education debt. The extent to which I would benefit from a rigorous STEM education, is limited.
