Gonna transfer my sim card to an old Nokia/equivalent phone

Then I'm gonna use that for if my mum tries calling me etc, and have my regular phone turned off. That way I can still be contacted if necessary, but don't need my smartphone with me. I will keep my smartphone for times when I need it outside the house, e.g. signing in at work, using google maps etc.

Because even whatsapp doesn't require a sim, so I can keep that on my smartphone, as sometimes my parents send me images. I'll tell them to text on regular sms for normal messages

Why not just delete the problem apps on your smartphone?

Including the browser. Install ChatGPT and use it as your “Google”.

I had to delete a lot of apps because of this. Haven’t yet deleted the browser but I probably should.

I've turned off .org notifications now, but I'd probably still be tempted to/out of habit go on my phone. This way it can stay off, but if I ever need it while out I still have the apps there

Also, using some old piece of shit feels pretty sigma
