Parents already wealthy they just don't support the idea until im 20 or until a orthodontist recommends it. I have an appointment next week for them to record my measurements.

Definitely wait until you've finished developing before opting for a surgical procedure.

You’ll have to wait, which isn’t a problem since you’ll need to save up anyway.
Do you think an orthodonist will recommend it to me so my parents will be on board with it? If not, should I plan to get it in mexico or another foreign country to get it cheaper

Check the surgery section. I'm not informed on these topics.

You should do both. Hard and softmaxxing are complementary. I'd also throw jaw angle implants for good measure.

It does look like your chin is a bid recessed from the pront profile so genioplasty is like fine, whether you need bimax or not... Maybe? I'd be best if you could provide the side profile too.

Doing some calculations your jaw frontal angle is around 86 degrees or so, which means you're technically within the ideal range in that regard, so you probably do not need bimax for CCW or CW rotation. Unless your mandible is significantly recessed, I'd just stick with genioplasty/chin implants, lose weight and also consider jaw angle implants.

Again, without looking at your side profile (or knowing if you have bite issues) we cannot fully disregard bimax as a potential option, but it is an expensive and fucking painful procedure, so if you don't strictly need to get it, I'd recommend you don't.

I’m going to an orthodontist on Wednesday to try and see what I can do. If I can’t get insurance for bimax I might have to just settle for implants and a sliding genioplasty

Do you have any suggestions on what I should ask my orthodontist because if it’s not recommended my parents aren’t going to support it and I’ll have to save up on my own. Is my recession bad enough to get insurance coverage if I tell them it’s affecting my breathing at night?

You don’t need surgery bro, stay on the pretty boy path it will increase your appeal, just hit the gym and lose body fat.

You can maybe try thumbpulling, it’s proven to work even if your in your early twenties.

Yea save up for bimax and genio, you should be able to get insurance because you are a obv case

I am going to an orthodonist on Wednesday, anything I should say to try to get recommended bimax. Ive gotten orthodontic work in the past (headgear, braces, expander, wisdom teeth removal) ive never gotten recommended surgery. Could advocating for myself like this work or will they put it off and say im fine?

Yes its good first step, when you get a little older you will be able to do a sleep study. If you got bad bite in some way that can be a good reason

So there isn't any way I could get it covered right now? Im 17 right now, would I have to wait a couple years until I can begin the process of getting one

your skull is very undeveloped, a bimax might not be enough.

Trimax+genio should be the base.

But if you really want to ascend you are going to need those titanium implants bro...

Trimax consisting of lefort 1, bsso, and what else? If insurance for bimax isn't covered I might have to get it at turkey for cheaper OR setting for sliding genioplasty + jaw angle implants

When choosing an orthodontist ask them if they are airways or aesthetics oriented

For example western surgeons are more focused on health benefits of operation and might refrain on doing crazy advancements

While Turkish guys are more blackpilled and aesthetic oriented, so they can advance you maxilla up to 10-15mm if you want to

But the main issue is that we do t have many results pics, and many say they got botched so be careful

If you chose a western guy manage your expectations, and if you go turkey make sure he isn't a butcher

I believe they are health oriented as I had alot of work done with them in the past. I go to Cassinelli, Shanker and Associates in Ohio. I do have breathing problems at night + jaw clicking when swallowing which I hope can get bimax covered in my case.

I actually can't until I have this planned out. My recession is so bad to the point I get mistaken on this site with having FAS.

I mean yea, this site isnt really normal aswell. But try to relax while ofc trying your best at your local health institutions to get bimax. You could go the way where you start to lie that you got sleep apnea symtoms. And also that you have hard time with basic things like speeching etc because the recession makes it hard to breath while doing it. Like overall just start saying you got real issues so it needs to be adressed fast. But before doing it you need a surgeon who is good and does good movements so when that happen come in contact with people on this forum and also be sure that you see the surgical plan in a 3d planning simulation.

So if your recession is causing breathing issues, or you have an issue with your bite, then it's very likely insurance will cover it. When it comes to what to tell a dentist, I'd honestly just ask plainly if he/she thinks you're a good candidate for jaw surgery given that your chin is pulled a bit back

They were pretty skeptical of me trying to get bimax for cosmetic reasons only but agreed to a sleep apnea study. Any way to fake this or make sure I get insurance covered bimax?
