Of course eye color matters a lot, but shape matters even more, it's important to remember:

When it comes to eye color, brown isn't a failo, it's seen as standard, light eyes are a bonus / multiplier.

When it comes to shape, you can have a lot of failos, a negative canthal tilt, excessive upper eyelid exposure, bulgy eyes, dark circles from weak suborbital support... etc.

The average person finds brown eyes with a good shape more attractive than light eyes with a bad one.

of course ideally you'd wanna have both....
