I read the summary for this book and apparently it's about a girl who becoms pretty them has a bunch of guys after her, and she picks the biggest asshole who behaved like a sociopath and "tames" him. Apparently this book was very popular amongst young foids.

This seems like a common trend in female media. Another example is "The Vampire Diaries" where the main character picks the sociopathic mass murderer (Ian Somerholders character) over the nice guy wholesome brother who's essentially a vegan vampire that only drinks blood bags and doesn't kill humans.
