its lowkey compulsory. The SAP tool will just filter out profiles that seem sketchy in any way including without pic and basic bio-data like contact details, etc, at least in good orgs.

It's normal to include one where I live. If you're ugly on that photo, they can throw away your application immediately without having to see your face in the interview. It's also required that you have a professionally taken photo, otherwise your cv will be discarded as well.

Depends on the country you live in tbh, in the UK putting your photo on your CV would be seen as weird tbh.

If you're good looking and want to take advantage of that, just have a pic on your linkedin and then keep the profile non-private.

Ok, idk about Europe, but in the US putting your photo on a resume/CV will immediately land your resume in the trash. Do not do it.
