Good looking people in denial

Why do a lot of good looking people hate to accept the fact that their life has been a lot easier compared to someone who is ugly? and that they have many opportunities the average or below average person would not.

It's not like their whole life is the way it is just because of their looks, even though that is a huge if not the largest factor, but it's like they make it up to be that way.
