I decided to watch gore today after 6 months to “ wake me up” after all nighter. What I realised- it does jolt you up a bit but the human brain wasn’t designed to see so many deaths in detail, if you see actual gore irl your brain processes it much differently than when you see a video of it.
Now I don’t mean your brain “ lies to you” irl but the affectations, impulses and reaction all extremely differ when you see it irl. Irl you actually feel less “ jarred” and more of an adrenaline rush like you just took amphetamines. Gore in video form is just boring nonsense that makes you believe death is near and cooming is the only thing that matters and many here unironically believe this as well. Most people just like with porn saw only three or four gory deaths irl IF they were lucky. And each death they saw shaped their consciousness and how they approach the world, while online gore does nothing akin to that.
