Got a haircut, now I'm getting a ton of attention

I shaved my ugly ass facial hair and got a haircut, now everyone is giving me fucking compliments, everyone wants to be my friend, and all the teachers I have in my classes have been complimenting me.

I noticed girls have also been sitting closer to me and looking/talking at me more, teachers and people in general are nicer to me as well

I normally don't try with my appearance and now that I do everyone's been complimenting me, I know I'm not Chad but it's weird. My mom who always called me ugly is calling me good looking now. Also ppl have been saying I look super different. My jaw also looks more prominent because it was hidden by all the facial hair and my long hair

Yes, well it can be quite a contrast to be treated like a human being instead of like a trashbin. When you take even a little bit care of your appearance, people will be way nicer.
