28 days of holiday pay at 8 hours a day = 224 hours, which is what showed up on my available hours for booking holiday, despite me only just starting the job

I'm pretty sure you're meant to accrue the hours over the year as you work more hours, but for some reason mine all showed up at the start

So I booked 3 days off and got it approved. I still have 200 hours left. Apparently your employer has to pay your remaining holiday pay if you leave, thus I could potentially leave the job soon and get 2.5k. That or I could keep booking leave jfl, but they have to approve it and they probably wouldn't do it all so soon, and then it would also start to look suspicious

I'm not sure how it works tbh. Upon some browsing of Reddit, it's not abnormal to get it all at the start. I'm not sure what happens if I quit - whether they calculate how much I've actually earned, despite my available hours being the full year's

My contract:
15.3 Holiday entitlement accrues over the course of the holiday year. Employees are responsible for ensuring that all their holiday entitlements are duly taken in each holiday year and that they follow the Companys holiday booking procedures as confirmed in the Colleague Handbook.

15.4 If, on leaving (company), you have been unable to take your accrued holiday at the time of leaving, you will receive payment in lieu of the outstanding holiday. If, at the time of leaving, you have taken more holiday than you are entitled to, (company) will make a deduction of the appropriate sum of money from your final salary.

The strange thing is I got mine in one sum, when it says it accrues over the year. It says they will deduct any leave more than I'm entitled to from final pay, but I don't know if that applies in my case. Even if it does, I could still book a bunch of paid time off (if approved) to use up the holiday hours, then quit straight after getting my last month's payment. That way they can't deduct anything
