Got my braces on 2 days ago for lefort 1. Ortho said the surgery will most likely be in 1.5 years.

1 fucking year ago I was crying about my fucking maxilla being bluepilled asf and thinking it's unfixable. And here I am, getting braces on for the surgery.
So fucking proud of myself.

Went to a consultation with a maxfac. She did my buccal fat removal. At the consultation, I told her that my maxilla is recessed but I thought that its only for people with like deformities (had done 0 research back then). She told me that a lefort 1 can be done, and the surgery alone only costs 6k for me. I was fucking baffled, my eyes lit up. Holyy, and now I have braces

Well you can get it even before 18 I think if it's for functional purposes, but if you want it for aesthetic purposes, you need to visit a maxfac cosmetic surgeon like I did. And idk if they accept people for consultation who are younger than 18. Maybe they do.

My teeth have camouflaged so my bite looks normal. If you have skeletal discrepancies, your teeth will try to compensate. Skeletally, scans prove that my maxilla is recessed.

Sure, dm me. I can send some pics lol, and no she wasn't shocked. But she showed me some surgery pics of her doing a BFR and I asked how old the patient was and is the patient was the same age as me, and she told no, that this patient wasn't so young like me. I'm 20.

My SNA is 79 degrees, which says my maxilla is like a bit below average, but my SNB is 84 degrees, which means my jaw is well forward grown, so that makes it a moderate recession.

Like nga surgeon just move maxilla 0,5-1mm more forward than ideal movement
and then fix that shit with braces so decomp before aint take that long lmao

Well get a consultation with a maxfac surgeon. Do some research, find a good maxfac in your country. It's even better when she works in a cosmetic surgery clinic like mine does. She did my buccal fat removal aswell and the results were great, so Ik she isn't a retard. And she is like one of the best maxfacs in our country. Your maxfac will assess you and then tell you to go to an ortho for the scans. My maxfac gave me an ortho that she works with, so I went to the ortho.

Did you get insurance to cover your surgery?

The surgeon told me she can get insurance to cover SOME of the surgery. So the lefort 1 will cost 6k itself and the braces will cost 6k in total OVER THE NEXT 2 YEARS. I paid 2200 to get them put on, and over the next 2 years I need to pay like 3800 more (throughout the visits when they replace the wires etc. + final scans after and before surgery + taking the braces off)
