Idk I feel guilty calling myself mixed. But my parents families and cultures and physical traits are so different that I’ve had a huge identity crisis my entire life. If I ever tell people I’m mixed, they start thinking I’m trying to be exotic or some shit and they’d be condescending.

I see now. Maybe not on the same scale but I also experienced that. I’m mulatto with very light beige skin, medium brown hair and a mix of African and European features. My mom is of Swedish, Irish, and German decent with light green eyes and dirty blonde hair. My dad is Afro-Caribbean and has dark skin. My sister ended up leaning more towards my moms side and my mom expresses favoritism towards her. Meanwhile I didn’t get the same privileges as her like for instance my mom would always punish me harsher than her or she would allow my sister to do thing I was not allowed to do. But seriously my mom is literally like brown with curly hair, long limbs/no muscles and my dads like porcelain white with brown hair and he’s strong as hell. I don’t even look related to my second sister. And my dad favours my sister that’s light and strong and takes on after him, and my mom favours my other sister that looks more like her, and I look like a mix of both of them so they always told me I look like an alien growing up
