I bought one of these a couple months ago. It was my intent to use with a stand up desk, but it is too short and narrow for that purpose for me, and I made sure not to buy the shortest models. I can walk on it normally at the max 9% incline, but at 3.4 or 3.6 mph I have to concentrate on not stepping off the deck. Possibly if I put a board under the front to increase the incline to 15%, I could walk on it slow enough (1.8 or 2.0 mph) that I could use the computer while walking on it.
eta: I think I paid $250 it. You can buy bigger ones, but then you are in the $1,000 range.
