Which surgeon?

Did the surgeon take photos of the after on the operating table before swelling set in so you could see the aesthetic outcome? If so, were you satisfied?

How did you go about determining the movements that you needed to achieve your aesthetic ideal?

Can you share scans/before pics?

How much was the procedure?

Were the plates custom or manually bent?

Will DM surgeon.

I dont think he took photos on the table. At least, not that I am aware of.

Regarding determining movements, I just trusted his expertise.

Can potentially share scans/pics privately.

Procedure was covered by insurance for OSA. Just paid deductible, genio fee, surgeons fees, and ortho costs.

Plates are custom.

Could you DM me the surgeon name, movements, scans, pics, and any other details you are willing to share, please?

Send me a message
Unfortunately, I don’t have enough reputation to do that ha ha. Is there someone here that has enough reputation to send a message and relay the scans between us?

I’m employed, so unfortunately I don’t have the time. Please like my posts.
I already gave the movements. I am not going to provide photos or scans.

Are you going to do the surgery? Do you have sleep apnea?

How brutal has the recovery been? When I had infras unilateral fat grafting and buccal recovery was brutal first few days Ngl. Was like blind for two days lol

Not bad to be honest. Obviously first couple days were a little rough but they give you pain killers. The main issue was how swollen I was which was uncomfortable and eating, even a liquid diet, was difficult. But I was never in excruciating pain except when I first woke up although I barely remember it.

After a few days i was just chilling watching TV and hanging around.

Now it’s 2 weeks later and im back to normal except that i cant chew or work out. Only thing that bothers me right now is general fatigue.

How did you get it through insurance?
If it was medically necessary for sleep apnea, what were the symptoms so you realized to get it checked out? (did you somehow exaggerate the symptoms or sum?)

Sleep apnea. You just need a sleep study to prove you have sleep apnea at a severe enough level. I did not need to exaggerate anything but I’m sure that you could game the sleep study if you wanted to

I do have sleep apnea and im actively consulting. I’m also heavily prioritizing aesthetics.

Also, how big was your genio? You mentioned 18 mm for mandible, but I’m unsure if this includes genio or not.

Lol so was the genio then fully out of pocket or did your doc somehow get insurance coverage for that as well
