I’ve been really into grappling sports since I was a kid and am at a high level in my country, but I have a terrible side profile due to my recessed chin and jaw, with a short ramus of about 4.5 cm. Basically, I feel cursed with my lower face. I’m really looking forward to surgery, such as chin wing surgery, fixing the gonial angle with implants, ramus lengthening with either implants or mandibular ramus osteotomy, and genioplasty or a chin implant.
I understand that these surgeries put strain on the bones of the face, but I still want to know if there is a chance of returning to a sport like grappling after recovery because I love the sport, but I can’t bear having a cursed lower face. If there are any other surgeries that could alter the lower face while allowing me to return to sport and achieve a desirable lower face, I would appreciate it very much
