growth plates still open at 19

crazy now that I dont care abt my height that this happens but for a little context I am 19 and 2 months old. around last November when I was 18 I measured at the doctor at 178cm barefoot. I came today to find out my little brother just measured today at 178cm at the doctor. But he has always been shorter then me by a few inches, so I guess I grew and didn't even notice, we redid measurements and I guess im 182cm barefoot now. did a X-ray a year ago on my plates and it was showing it was either mostly closed or completely closed, so dont know how its possible.
