Ok so i am 16 and 7 months,6’0 and pretty much i look like a kid.
I got acne when i was like 14 and a half,and i have no facial hair till this day,nor body hair.

I was on accutane in february 2025 since april 2026,then i stopped.20mg daily 0,3mg/kg dose prescribed for my 70kg

When i was on accutane i ve seen lil bit height chance 3-4cm.When i stopped i took blood test and my alkaline phospatase was 94/UL which indicates medium-final stages of growth.Now idk how much i have but since i stopped treatment when i took blood test it was normal to have 94/UL

Now when i stopped since a month and a half i ve seen like 1cm of height growth and football measurments confirms it.I ve heard that accutane doesn t stop growth but taken a long treatment it slows down growth temporarly due to less production of igf-1

Am i getting a growth spurt?

Accutane doesnt cause temporary growth suppression thru less igf1, but thru retinoic acid receptor agonism in the gps, which induces fusion and rz exhaustion, if ur still growing rapidly the ur good

all depends on your genetics whether your plates are still open or not.

you need to check with a doctor and get an x ray done to see if your growth plates are still open or already fused. parental height isn’t always a reliable indicator by itself.
