I have an idea and I'm not sure why I haven't heard this before. maybe its stupid. can somebody tell me if this is possible?

IF YOUR SUTURE in your skull is closed, then get the suture split surgery that they usually do for some people with a closed suture to get an MSE installed.

The issue with MSE is that we all know it's not cosmetic, it gives you asymmetries, it almost always kinda descends people...

So why don't we just get the suture split surgery, then wear a regular palate expander like what kids wear?
We could also wear a DNA appliance, or something else like that... like a homeoblock, anything that expands palate (NOT A MARPE or MSE or FME though).

Could work if it doesnt out accelerate STEM cell specialization and bone creation

A regular palate expander or any other kind of expander makes no difference in aesthetics. What makes people think it's any different? :ROFLMAO:

idk, how would it, maybe by helping lip seal it can....
lf1 can widen the lips but its not drastic, diy lip flip can upturn them

BECAUSE of the suture being split via surgery before you'd get the palate expander?

I used to have wide lip width before 4 premolar extractions and many yrs of braces (with elastics)
So I think it is a support issue

But since I'm very recessed, do I stand to gain a lot? Or the same amount as somebody else who gets DJS?

Also how do I do a DIY lip flip?

did you get your premolars extracted and then braces pulled your entire jaws/rest of teeth backwards??

it depends how robust your soft tissue is [probably not very robust], when you get the advancement it stretches your soft tissue and muscles.

idk yet i was going to try and do it soon its just botox in the lip area. ill let you know if its worth, i also have downturned commissures and just giga fraud 24/7 doing like a 30% smile

I need to provide fullness to my paranasal area. To bring my nasal base forward so my maxilla looks better
And I have a downturned hooked nose from lack of maxilla support, that can hopefully upturn

Makes no difference compared to surgical assist MARPE. If anything, there will be more root resorption, dental tipping and tooth damage.

MARPE is certainly superior.

isn't MARPE known to not be a cosmetic procedure though?

almost everyone complains after of the "descension" they experience. perhaps a palate expander or whatever else isn't really cosmetic either but im curious on what your take is.

only those with a very narrow palate should get the MARPE?

I just told you, and now for the third time THE SCREW (expander) HAS NO ADVANTAGE OVER THE OTHER AS FAR AS AESTHETICS!!!!!!

I understand but I was trying to ask a different question sir. I’m not talking about screw expanders (like the ones used in kids) AT ALL anymore.

My question was if you think MARPE is cosmetic and if so, when should someone get it? is it only if they have a very narrow palate? We know that marpe (or at least mse in particular) has a rep of descending people often.
