.org rep 101: what it is and why it is
alright so quick breakdown because i see people not really getting this
rep is basically how much love your posts get compared to how much you post. so yeah, it’s your post to rep ratio. simple.
why does it matter? because it kinda shows how people feel about what you put out. if you post a lot but nobody reacts, it looks like you’re just talking into the void. but if your posts get reactions, it means people actually understand and fw what you’re saying.
a good post to rep ratio basically says:
it’s not about being popular, it’s more about not being noise
now important part that people mess up:
when you’re talking to someone on a thread, like going back and forth, don’t just reply and dip. throw a thumbs up, love, whatever reaction on their post.
why? because if you don’t, you’re making them post more without giving them any rep back. over time that kinda messes up their ratio just from having a normal convo.
so yeah, basic respect thing:
if someone’s talking with you, you react to their post
it keeps the balance right and shows you’re actually engaged, not just farming replies
that’s it. not complicated, just be aware of it
i’ve got nobody to tag so if u see this, bump pls
ps: this used to be much more common a while back, idk why people just dont get it now.

a good post to rep ratio basically says:
- you don’t spam
- you say things people care about
- people respect or like your presence
