I think men care more BECAUSE most men do not have friends or deep connections with other men friends the way women have with their female friends.
I've snooped into my sister's convos with her friends sometimes and it's insane what they talk about and how deep the connection is. They hang out multiple times a week, go out to eat multiple times a week, talk on the phone for hours a day, travel with each other all the time, etc. Men friends don't go deep like females so we need a woman to do be out companion.
