Ima try to keep it simple but TLDR at the bottom.
Also i will be ignoring posture as i know fuck all about how to improve it, though im sure its important to a degree.
So how do we walk properly for the purpose of appearing tall while walking. Well the only 1(or 2 if you want) things that impact our height are:
-Stride length
-leg angle
-proportions
-knee bend(Negligible unless you walk like a weirdo)
.
When we walk our height can be modelled in an equation like this
Where h is height, U is upper body length, l is leg length and s is stride length.
WHY IS IT IMPORTANT?
The average stride length of a 180cm man is 84.8cm or 33.4 inches
Shockingly this will leave a 180cm man with average proportions at 169cm or about 6.1% height decrease while walking.
You probably dont notice it cuz youve been doing it your whole life but the difference is real.
HOW TO FIX?
To fix simply start to think about your stride lengths. You want to be averaging a stride length of about 0.35-0.52 times the length of your legs(with shoes and lifts if you wear them), doing so will result in height loss of only 1.3% rather than 6.1%. If you shorten your strides too much you will look like you have a carrot up your ass so dont do that.

SUMMARY: Your stride length should be about 0.4 times your leg length. Average person loses 6.1% of their height because they walk sub optimally.

This was all just made based on normal geometry and i found it interesting, first somewhat educational thread from me jfl lmk if there are any questions
