- Frontal (straight-on)
- Neutral expression (zero smile, no posing/squinting)
- Lips closed naturally, relaxed face
- Full hairline visible (push hair back if needed)
- Camera exactly at eye level — no up/down tilt fraud
- True side profile(most important — raters obsess over this)
- Frankfurt Horizontal Plane (FHP) must be perfectly level: imaginary line from lowest point of eye socket (orbitale) to top of ear canal (tragus) parallel to the floor
Here are clear anatomical examples of correct FHP alignment in side profile (notice the straight level line):

Correct Side Profile Angle (Gold Standard)
- True 90° side (other side of face completely hidden)
- Frankfurt plane level (ear looks upright, not tilted back)
- Head in natural posture (no forced forward tilt or extension)
- Camera at eye level, 1–1.5m distance
Example of correct vs natural head variations (but always aim for true FHP):

Common Wrong Angles (These Get You Roasted)
- Up-tilt fraud (head/camera too low): Fakes longer ramus, better jaw, fake forward growth
- Down-tilt fraud (head/camera too high): Weakens jaw, adds fake double chin, lengthens midface
- Chin jut / hard mewing in pic: Pushes chin forward artificially — obvious and brutal
Here are side-by-side examples showing correct level plane vs common tilted frauds (notice how the Frankfurt line slopes in the wrong ones):

Frontal Angle Rules
- Camera dead at eye level (use tripod/shelf/friend — no arm/selfie fraud)
- No upward angle (frauds eye area + slims face)
- No downward angle (makes face rounder, jaw weaker)

Technical Tips for Taking the Photos
- Camera → Rear main camera (selfies distort massively)
- Distance → 1–1.5 meters (arm-length is too close → big nose/face fraud)
- Lighting → Soft natural (window/golden hour) — avoid flash/yellow bulbs
- Background → Plain wall
- Pose → Standing straight, relaxed shoulders/neck
- Check before snap → Use phone preview/mirror to confirm FHP is level (tragus-orbitale line horizontal)
- Post-processing → None or minimal — edits get called out
