There is no such thing as 'guilt'. There's only fear of consequences. If you could do anything you wanted and get away with it without suffering any personal or social repercussions, you would.
Why do you think it is that people virtue signal about empathy towards the unfortunate all the time, but in that same breath talk about incels like they're a separate species of sub-humans?
It's because hating incels is socially acceptable, so nobody has to pretend like they feel sorry for them.

Actually, this isn't exclusive to just incels. Compare the way people 'feel sorry' for white Ukrainian refugees compared to brown ones. Total virtue signal.
