So brutal, feels like lateral expansion of the face is just a meme. Unless they develop a device, that can expand unilaterally, one side only, this has the potential to wreck everyone.

Guy paid 40K$ for the best surgeon and technique for maxillary expansion and yet failed. You can’t get better than that.

He need to stop coping and get oto asap

It should be known by now that maxillary expansion will always accentuate already existing asymmetries, it is not a procedure meant for improving aesthetics.

He literally mentions it himself in the video that he went into the procedure with existing asymmetry, it's very clear that he chose function>aesthetics.

TPD is necessary in his case because it extrudes more force which is needed initially, now that everything has moved and there's an open gap he can compensate with an armless MSE which won't dig into his molars and tilt them outwards.

He said in one of his earlier videos that he chose TPD over MSE because it causes a more symmetric expansion. I guess it was one of his goals and he is coping now.

Symmetric bone expansion ≠ symmetric reflection on the exterior (soft tissue). If there already is asymmetries present such as in this case then with symmetric expansion all you're doing is accentuating the asymmetry at the regions that they are present at because you are moving bone and this reflects on the exterior.

Can a device that is aimed at expanding the maxilla end up expanding the bone asymmetrically? Absolutely. Resistance on either side, anchorage, how leveled and how "symmetric" it's placed all play a big role in how final result will end up.

Then we have a surgeon at question who is aiming his practices at helping people with sleep related problems and relieving them of their symptoms. I would guess that aesthetic outcome isn't his biggest concern so therefore placement of the device might not be analyzed and overlooked enough to ensure perfect symmetrical expansion. I may be completely wrong about this however as I'm not a patient of his.

40k holy shit

grown ass man got MSE. dumb choice

Doesn’t Ting do like 2 turns per day? Slow expansion is the way to go

no one goes with kasey li without insurance

Where's the asymmetry? He looks exactly the same.

i think u misunderstood the vid. it is probably because he put his TPD in a weird angle like picrel because he wanted to combat existing asymmetry or wanted to expand one side more or something, he explained it in one of his vids. and his asymmetry is not like asymmetry where it expands asymmetrically all the way up to your upper maxilla if i remember from his vid it seems more like purely dental effect from what i see. u gotta watch his entire youtube channel. me too cuz i havent yet and i dont remember exaclty

tldr theres moar to dis

Does he need msdo now? I mean how would lower and upper jaw match together now after mse?
