when i used to go to commercial gyms ppl would tell me off/"correct" me for actually training properly. if u know UK gyms you know they are basically a place ppl go to goof off. If you are sub5 and do anything other than "all you br0" half rep benches and forced reps on machines, people seem to actually get offended and look at u like a freak. like this shit:



like these ppl had never even heard of a box squat and didn't know that deadlifts are supposed to be dead stop not bounced off the ground.

meanwhile chad does kyriakos grizzly tier shit and throws the plates across the room and no one says anything.

in general if u are seriously trying to self improve ppl will HATE you for it. like you don't DESERVE it.

UK is weird as fuck cos its like a mixture of absurd competitiveness/ everyone obsessing over body for social media but also a crab in the bucket mentality.

yeah i have perfect form with everything bc i was an athlete in HS and I cant imagine the anguish it'd bring going to a gym to actually do it right just to be looked down on for actually doing it right. although when i was bluepilled enough to allow niggers into my friend group i got a lot of shit just for keeping my home clean/organized, eating halfway healthy, or other things that showed i actually gave a shit so ig i kinda know how it is. what can i say though npcs are cancer, i get compliments when i workout in publci bc things arent that bad here yet tho

there is no correct form, due to leverages everyone looks slightly different.

back when I still went to the gym instead of lifting at home I had people cry about my grip style regularly because I deadlift with double underhand and don't experience any of the tendon strain that anyone else has while doing it.

That's why gymcel alone is cope. You need to be able to TKO anyone as soon as they disrespect/threaten you no matter how big they look.

So boxing or wrestling it is then. I've leanmaxxed enough to just maintain my current frame, I'd rather learn how to fight than try to appeal to the male gaze/try to foolishly command respect in a fake way.

I work out as strength training for rock climbing, not for aesthetics, since my entire life doesn't revolve around foid opinions. But I'll gladly post my physique in 4-6 months when I finish my hypertrophy phase and cutting phase. But here's my bloated newbie abs before I started bulking:

I'm 6'2 190lb. Not huge and i'm working on getting bigger to look like i lift in shirts but thats going to be doing the same thing and just eating more. Since this is a looksmax forum my physique is more than enough for whores to be satisfied. And I've never deadlifted in my life. 90% of people I see deadlifting are bloated newbies who think focusing on adding weight on the bar is how you build an aesthetic physique.
 
Yeah, you obviously look decent. I called your bluff and you weren't bluffing. I still think the CNS concerns are silly. Deadlifts are obviously not necessary for aesthetics though. I deadlift once a week 1x5, and that's all the lower body shit I do because I specifically don't want leg mass. I like deadlifting though.

my problem with deadlifts is they are a relatively high risk of injury lift for very little aesthetic benefit. If you want a big back then doing a lot of bent over rows and pullups will get you there. For big legs squats and RDLs will get you there. Deadlifts work everything a little bit but you still end up needing other shit anyways because deadlifts alone are not enough for anything and so many guys hurt themselves chasing ego deadlifts thinking itll make them look good. Deadlifts can definitely be very taxing on your recovery which can take away from other lifts. Obviously if you are doing them not much or doing the stronglifts approach of very low volume then they may not interfere a lot but like I said, deadlifts are the most useless "big" lift for the reasons i explained. I dont see any reason why some newbie who wants to look good should ever waste their time on deadlifts.

A lot of new lifters fall for the "stronglifts" meme which they fall for the lies that strength = muscle always. So they end up chasing ego PRs and they get some muscle but ive seen so many of these guys who train like this and have good numbers but look like shit. Stronglifts is only good for the casual who wants to minimize gym time and dont have their entire life be around lifting because its efficient, but its not the most optimal.
