if its lasting up to 8 months then ur probably good bro especially if u have medium to short hair length

I used leave in and a mousse when I had curls then when it got wavyish I switched over to clay and sea salt and it’s has stayed like that

tbh as long as you take well care of your hair while getting perms it shouldn’t damage that much
