Can you change your hair from straight to wavy?

i got 1c can i change it to somewhat wavy without a perm or nah?

yeah you can push 1c to look more wavy without a perm, you won’t change your natural pattern but you can enhance it, scrunch it while it’s damp and let it air dry, use that powders or something light, don’t go heavy, don’t brush it dry or you’ll kill the waves, braids or twists while damp also help, ends up more messy wavy, not curls but definitely more texture btw if you show ur hair it would be more easier to answer

i used to do that but then i decided to just use sea salt and clay that gave my hair kinda messy texture and hold but was hoping for a better option
