Hair is wavy on the back and flat on the front, why?

My hair is noticeably wavy on the back but on the front it just falls flat on my face, why? Any way I can make it that wavy on the front?

Might be damaged follicles let your hair air dry after getting it cut.

Thanks I'm gonna get it cut today so should I just dry it with a towel after bath or try not to dry it at all? Or is the damage caused by something else?

I've stopped using shampoo on it recently, also don't use a conditioner since it's oily

Lightly tap your hair down with the towel then air dry or use a hair diffuser on a blow dryer. I'd recommend using a conditioner or a sulfate free shampoo too and then using it when it's needed.

Oh, when I used to blow dry it I didn't use a hair diffuser, does it affect texture?
And yeah I was towel drying but definitely not lightly lol

I've heard it's good to use shampoo once a week, would that affect texture too?

Yes to all, diffuser is good for waves, get wax if you want to mould it into a specific shape and retain it.

I noticed my hair looks like shit when I let it air dry but looks good when blow drying

I guess this is because of the extremely hard water I have
