Just another anecdote as I gave myself a buzzcut end of last year.
For the majority of people:
- If your top hair is short, you want to get a fade/undercut.
- If your top hair is medium, you also want medium sides/taper.
I’ve found that having short sides with medium top or medium sides with short top creates unbalance in your face shape and doesn’t look good.
Only chad faces with good bone structure can pull off very contrasting haircuts, like having medium hair on top and skin fade.
