Maybe, but only 40-60% of the population has the necessary availability of sulfotransferase in the scalp to see an effect from topical minoxidil. If you don’t respond to topical minoxidil, you could apply in conjunction with tretinion which studies show converted about 40% of topical minoxidil non-responders into responders, or start oral which nearly 100% of people respond to.

Or just start with oral to begin with.

you should immediately hop on finasteride to stop the hair loss. preferrably dutasteride, dht blocking should be done only if 18+ and if your growth plates are closed, topical finasteride is also an option
