My hair is too thick, and it’s not fully straight. It’s a mix of straight and wavy, and it’s really hard to style. It also curls in some parts even though my hair isn’t actually curly — it’s just wavy and straight.
Whenever I splash water on my hair, it stretches out and looks 10x better, but once the water dries, my hair becomes frizzy, puffy, and shrinks back up again.
I’ve heard about “puberty curls,” and I’m 16. Could that be the reason, or is it just my natural hair type changing?
Is this caused by dryness, humidity, or hair damage?
Could thick hair naturally become more wavy during puberty?
And what are the best ways to make my hair look smoother and less puffy without damaging it
