This is my first guide bhais so lmk how i did and what to improve for next time
Recently i have seen quite a few posts asking about haircuts while alot of people would think its not about the hair it can help anyone who says otherwise is retarded so listen to me as i am high iq so take my advice unless u wanna look like a lil bitch

1: Know Your Face Shape

Measure:

  • Face length
  • Forehead width
  • Cheekbone width
  • Jaw width
Then compare the proportions.

General rule:
  • Long face → add width.
  • Wide face → add height.
  • Strong angles → soften with texture.
  • Soft features → add definition.

Oval

The easiest face shape. Almost every haircut works.

Focus more on:

  • Hair quality
  • Density
  • Styling
  • Hairline
Avoid only styles that completely flatten your hair.

Round (easily the worst)

Goal: make the face appear longer.

Best:

  • Height at the crown
  • Tighter sides
  • Medium or long textured styles
  • Layers
  • Side part
Avoid:

  • Heavy side volume
  • Blunt cuts
  • Chin-length bobs
  • Flat styling
  • Heavy straight fringe

Square

Goal: soften strong angles while keeping the jawline.

Best:

  • Medium-long length
  • Layers
  • Waves
  • Texture around the face
  • Loose styling
Avoid:

  • Very boxy cuts
  • Blunt jaw-length cuts
  • Slick backs
  • Severe geometric styles

Rectangle / Oblong

Goal: reduce vertical length.

Best:

  • Side volume
  • Waves
  • Curls
  • Textured fringe
  • Shoulder-length styles
Avoid:

  • Long straight hair
  • Excessive crown volume
  • Slick backs
  • High fades

Heart

Goal: balance a wider forehead with a narrower jaw.

Best:

  • Volume below the jaw
  • Layered medium-long hair
  • Side fringe
  • Waves near the bottom
Avoid:

  • Huge quiffs
  • Excessive top volume
  • Thick blunt bangs

Diamond

Goal: reduce cheekbone dominance.

Best:

  • Layers around forehead
  • Layers near jaw
  • Side part
  • Soft texture
Avoid:

  • Tight slicked styles
  • Center parts if they exaggerate cheekbones
  • Severe fades

Pear

Goal: make the upper face appear wider.

Best:

  • Crown volume
  • Textured top
  • Fuller fringe
  • Tapered sides
Avoid:

  • Flat hair
  • Slick backs
  • Styles that emphasize the jaw

2: Head Shape

Most people ignore this. Your haircut has to work from every angle—not just the mirror.

Flat Occipital

Needs:

  • More length at the back
  • Layers
  • Texture

Prominent Occipital

Needs:

  • Balanced length
  • Avoid extremely short backs

Long Head

Needs:

  • Side volume
  • Texture
  • Moderate height
Avoid:

  • Slick backs
  • Excessive top height

Wide Head

Needs:

  • More vertical emphasis
  • Tapered sides
  • Cleaner silhouette
Avoid:

  • Bulky sides

3: Facial Proportions

Think in thirds:

  • Hairline → Brows
  • Brows → Nose
  • Nose → Chin
Hair should visually balance whichever third dominates.

Examples:

  • Large forehead → fringe or softer front.
  • Large lower face → more overall length.
  • Small forehead → avoid huge quiffs.

4: Hair Density

Hair quality matters almost as much as the haircut.

High Density

Can wear almost anything.

Medium Density

Most versatile.

Low Density

Prioritize:

  • Texture
  • Shorter layers
  • Volume
  • Matte products
Avoid:

  • Slick backs
  • Wet styling
  • Heavy blunt cuts

5: Improving Hair Density

Hair density is partly genetic, but you can often improve how thick it looks—and in some cases actually preserve or regain hair if you're thinning.

If Your Hair Is Healthy but Naturally Thin

Your goal is creating the illusion of density.

Do:

  • Ask for textured, layered cuts instead of blunt heavy ones.
  • Blow-dry your hair instead of letting it air dry flat.
  • Use volumizing mousse or sea salt spray before drying.
  • Finish with a matte clay or texture powder for lift.
  • Keep hair clean—oil makes thin hair separate and exposes the scalp.
  • Avoid heavy gels and pomades that flatten everything.

If You're Actually Thinning

Act straight away before the norwood reaper gets yo ass.Waiting until you're a Norwood 4-5 and hoping for miracle products is the biggest mistake most guys make.

Most evidence-backed options:

Minoxidil – Stimulates hair growth and slows thinning. Works best with consistent use over several months.

Finasteride – Slows or stops male pattern hair loss by reducing DHT. Many guys maintain or improve density with it. Discuss benefits and potential side effects with a healthcare professional before starting.

Microneedling (1–1.5 mm once weekly) – Often used alongside minoxidil and may improve results.

Ketoconazole shampoo (1–2%) – Helps with dandruff and scalp inflammation. May provide modest benefits for some people with androgenetic hair loss.

The guy who catches it at Norwood 2 and takes action is in a way better position than someone who waits until he's thinned significantly. Think of it like this: early intervention is the difference between maintaining what you have and fighting an uphill battle.

Nutrition & Lifestyle

If your hair loss isn't purely genetic, these factors actually matter.

Make sure you're getting enough:

  • Protein
  • Iron (if deficient)
  • Zinc
  • Vitamin D (if deficient)
  • Vitamin B12 (if deficient)
  • Omega-3 fats
Poor sleep, chronic stress, crash dieting, and rapid weight loss can all increase shedding. If you're grinding but your hair is falling out, l

Haircare Basics

Healthy hair always appears denser.

  • Don't shampoo aggressively every day if it dries your scalp out.
  • Use conditioner to reduce breakage.
  • Minimize excessive heat styling.
  • Avoid bleaching or harsh chemical treatments if your hair is already fragile.
  • Get regular trims to prevent split ends from making hair look thinner.

Cosmetic Density Hacks

These don't increase hair growth, but they make a noticeable difference:

  • Hair fibers (Toppik) for thinning crowns or hairlines.
  • Root powders to reduce scalp contrast.
  • Hair dye slightly darker or matching your natural color can sometimes make fine hair appear fuller.
  • A well-chosen haircut often makes more difference than another styling product.

: Hair Texture

Straight:

  • Cleanest
  • Least forgiving
Wavy:

  • Most versatile
  • Naturally adds dimension
Curly:

  • Creates fullness
  • Hides density issues
  • Requires curl-specific cutting
Coily:

  • Maximum volume
  • Shape matters more than length

Styling Rules

Almost every haircut improves with:

  • Healthy hair
  • Volume at the roots
  • Products that match your hair type
Don't blindly copy haircuts what works for chad wont work for ltn.
