How bad is it be honest? I’m turning 25 next month and feel like the reaper is catching up to me. I tried to take these pics in the most unflattering, harshest lighting in my house with my hair wet and pulled back. My hair has always been very thick but the diffuse thinning around the temples and obvious recession concerns me. I can still style my hair well and hide the recession but I’m worried I won’t keep this hairline into my 30’s

I’m so torn on taking fin. I have literally taken it for like a week at a time at 0.5mg/day and then stop because I’m a massive pussy. I don’t even know if I was experiencing sides but I felt like there was definately a loss of erection strength and I generally don’t trust big pharma especially with shit that messes with my hormonal profile. I’m cucking myself at this point and I know it but the anecdotal stories about fin online just fuck with me bruh

I’ve heard mixed opinions about topicals efficacy though and also that it still goes systemic. Can you source topical solutions still? I’ve read that they are really hard to get so most people make it crush the pills and make solutions with that

I think it’s only really systematic for people that microneedle before putting topical fin. The particles are small enough for penetration but fin has a 24 hr half life, so taking it every other day topically would be the best course of action for you

just think about how many points you lose with each Norwood. Stop overthinking it and apply fin topically before you land yourself in a big mess

I use topical dut but that’s because I literally have zero sides. I know dut shuts off about 90% of dht compared to fin which is around 60-70% so I don’t just blindly recommend it to people

def start with topical fin every other day and use microneedle device one a week. Minox in my opinion is cope bc I prioritize collagen and also minox gains only last while using it. So it’s garbage for anything other than growing a beard.

Your skin looks aged as well. Are you on roids, or do you take a shower/cleanse everyday? Maybe overclensing so the skin doesn't have time to rebuild it's protective barrier?

It's not that bad. You look high T naturally, so it's all fine. You may want to consider reducing shower to two times per week to see if that's better for you, but it might not work if you sweat too much.

Also you can google "Mature hairline" for more information, but basically adults have a hairline that's farther back than children, and it's natural and not the same as a receding hairline. Still I'd be applying minoxidil to be safe.

I feel like the mature hairline thing is a cope. If it weren’t for the obvious diffuse thinning on my temples I wouldn’t be worried about it but you can clearly see the miniaturized hairs on my temples. Minoxidil is topical, it only effects the skin around where you apply it. It does reduce collagen, but that allows hair to grow more easily. We do not know how far it spreads, so it's up to you.

It still goes systemic to comparable levels of oral in a week or so the pill is just so much more efficient

We’re almost all balding and definitely aging but to what degree is what matters. If I’m slick bald by my 50s I won’t give a shit as long as I can maintain solid hair into my mid 30’s I’ll be fairly happy
