If you're talking about the skin between your brows, that's normal and just what happens when you squint. It's not a wrinkle.
But yes, tretinoin, as well as for helping with acne, can help with anti-aging and making your skin look more youthful. That's why in Australia, it's not subsidised at all, because it's considered cosmetic in its purpose.
Just prepare yourself for the God-awful purging phase :feelswhy:

Your skin gets worse before it gets better on retinoids like tretinoin or isotretinoin. Basically all your present pimples come up to the surface of your skin for a while, lasts a few weeks to a month and then your skin starts improving.

Your dark circles also seemed to be improved.

You might get a little bit of acne as you come off depending on how long you've used it for, your dosage and frequency, but you won't build an exogenous reliance upon it.
Easiest way to ensure minimal breakout upon stopping is to drop your frequency progressively to longer intervals. But you shouldn't have a big issue.

@castizo actually. You can easily ship it from Indian online pharmacy's. I got like 4 bottles of generic 0.05 tretinoin from India.

Seems to be working

what's your routine looking like boss?

Ah okay. Yeah they have a bit, I also recently placed an order off aipctshop since somebody that I got some isotretinoin tablets ordered from there. I cannot personally vouch for the site yet (aipctshop) but I should receive my order within 2-3 weeks.
Did you ever get ur package? Is it safe? Is using a card safe?

Got seized.
Annoyingly, I didn't get a letter of seizure, the tracking updates just stopped at customs, so I had to wait a fucking month for them to reship. I ordered this shit in like September...

I asked what would happen if my next order is seized:
"Our reshipment policy insurance covers a single reshipment if the parcel does not arrive for any reason. Regrettably, we are unable to offer any further reshipments beyond this."

I'm not sure as to whether this means they won't refund me in the event of a second seizure but I will dispute the transaction if so.

Waiting for tracking information, it's been a week so I just sent a follow-up email.

I'd look for somewhere else first if shipping to Australia since obviously their method of getting through customs is shit.

I live in the US. I’m wondering if 10mg Accutane would be safe to order and if debit would be a safe choice to use. Did you use the debit card option? Thanks for responding btw

Yes, hence the ability to dispute transaction.
Depends on how much you order but you should be okay. There is not really a greater chance of any particular pharmaceutical getting in because if it's not prescribed then it gets seized, hence the need for packaging to be discrete when entering the country.
Good choice with isotretinoin by the way, you won't regret taking it.

I want to test out both, see what works. Rn I’m dealing with acne and acne scars. A doctor did not allow me to get Accutane so I’m tryna use a 3rd party. Just don’t know which brand to get for both and if it will be safe

Edit: not going to use both at the same time btw

You might need chemical peels for acne scars but I'm not sure so ask your dermatologist about it, for regular acne if it's not bad then tret should be fine accutane is usually for when all else fails

Brand is of negligible change to be honest. The price variations are more as a result of differing costs of production from the need to adhere to different quality control standards in particular countries.
The active ingredient is all that matters.

Right now though, I am using Accufine, taking 30mg/day for two days consecutively, then a break day, so I'm at ~20mg/day.

Depends how deep your acne scarring is.

I consulted a GP prior to taking isotretinoin again just to get bloodwork assessed. I told them I would use their referral to visit the Dermatologist that I did in the past (two years ago or so), but just used the bloodwork as the green light to start taking the shit I had from India. He said that isotretinoin would help with my minor rolling scars but I don't think it would yield much difference.
In regards to only scarring, tretinoin would likely be more effective than isotretinoin (despite both being retinoids and very similar in effect), but as @Lord Shadow said, you don't really want to mix and match with retinoids.

If you have active acne, then I would hop on isotretinoin. If you don't/when your active acne is completely clear and has been for some time, I'd hop off and start taking topical medications specific to the type of scarring I have.

If atrophic scarring i.e., scarring from the loss of tissue, tazarotene, tretinoin and adapalene (not in conjunction) could all help. I've heard good things from tazarotene. Though cannot comment on anything other than tretinoin which I admittedly still have not used much. I will likely use a combination of tazarotene and other cosmetic treatments like laser or chemical peels to completely rid my skin of any leftover scars.

For hypertrophic scarring, i.e., bumps on your skin, you might benefit from particular corticosteroid creams, silicone patches, etc.

Yea thanks. My acne isn’t bad just mild that’s all. I think I’m responding twice to ur reply. Not sure how to fix that. Anyways should I be taking 10mg once a week or like every two days? Ur like the only helpful person on here btw. Thanks a lot!

PM me a photo of your skin. Have you gotten bloodwork by the way to confirm you're a good candidate?

10mg/day is a perfectly-fine starting dosage, 10mg/week or every two days (so 5mg/day equivalent) are both very low dosages.

I would start at 10mg/day for a month (once you have the green light with good blood results), then get another blood test at the end of that month. Assuming your second test yields good results again, increase to 20mg/day, which is a dosage sufficient for most.

In regards to bloodwork:
You need a random lipids test to assess liver health/enzyme activity. If you're in puberty or recently out of it, say 15-21, you can expect your albumin to be high. If everything else is comfortably within the reference range, you should be good to start taking isotretinoin.

Also, are you at all genetically predisposed to arthropathy, i.e., are there any joint diseases that your family have/have had?

I appreciate the kind words as well :ogre:(y)

My acne looks kinda like this image. Just a lil bit better. I’m not tryna show any trace of me here lol. I looked up “mild acne” for this image. Anyways, what Trentinoin brand did you purchase and test?

Edit: also a lil more scaring

Pretty sure it was A Ret, I don't use tretinoin though, I just have it.
I would probably just run isotretinoin at the protocol mentioned then some of the topical retinoids aforementioned for scarring (again, not in conjunction, just one of them).

100%, I could go see my GP in Australia right now and just straight-up ask and they'd give it to me. How old are you now? If you're younger then they might be less inclined but I started using it around 15/16.
How much do you pay for tret? Im also in aus and heard its very pricy.
