All Hallows' Eve is
the vigil of the Feast of All Saints, observed on the evening of October 31st, the day before All Saints' Day (November 1st). It is also known as Halloween, a contraction of the name. The holiday has origins in both religious observances, where it was a time for prayer and fasting, SOME ancient pagan traditions like those of the Celts happened to have celebrations that coincidentally coincided during this time as well (hence spooky shit)
All Saints' Day is celebrated on November 1st to remember all saints and martyrs during Christian history. It is followed by All Souls' Day on November 2nd to commemorate those who have passed within the faith.
so to the Reformed protties and Roman Catholics happy All Saints’ Day I guess.
