Idk... We can't just revert back to premodern states. There is no blueprint. The modern nation-states are far bigger beasts than the simple ones of before.

I'm guessing we need an explosion of ideas like the renaissance and enlightenment followed by political turmoil. That's not desirable either tbh. Not even Hallaq gives a solution. Just a critique .
