hand height and span correlation

hand span: 23 cm hand height:19 cm

while my mum's

hand span:18 cm hand height:17 cm

why is the length of my hands not so proportionate with their width as my mums or other people I see around? The only answer I can think of is that they are still growing, but I'm not sure. What do you think about it?

inb4 face matter, fuck hands etc

I do care about hands quite a bit and its one of my biggest insecurities
