Handsome men are very rare

I see beautiful women everywhere, but I rarely see a handsome man- especially in person. Sometimes I scour the internet trying to find handsome men I can aspire to look like, and more often than not I just end up with nothing. It's like finding a needle in a haystack. I decided to go back several decades to the past where classic actors in Hollywood had some decent style and grooming at least. Even the leading men weren't all that much to look at. I wonder why more women aren't lesbians.

Also don't forget you and many other dudes often overrate women and often have no particular types.

Women on the other hand always tend to have some strong "type factor" involved on top of looks standard.

So many women being "beautiful" is because men can be attracted to all kinds of women, so it adds up.

Men aren't eye appealing to women because to women they're very selective over what guy "passes."

It doesn't mean all men are ugly or all women beautiful objectively...

Rather, it often just means guys have no strong selective biases, whereas women almost always do.
