hanging eyelid temporary fix (ptosis)?

i noticed i have 1 eyelid that hangs abit lower, making it asymmetrical. Im planning to get a ptosis eyelid correction surgery in a few months, but does anyone know any temporary fixes?

there is eyelid tape and also eyelid glue. i recommend checking reddit for some good recommendations and buying it, alongside with some makeup remover to properly remove it. will set you back 30 bucks max

ngl the number of oculoplastic surgeons who end up fucking up ptosis surgery is unbelievable. it seems to be a ridiculously fine art.

i went to an oculoplastic surgeon once the day before surgery for an in-person examination and she wasn't sure she could even diagnose me with ptosis but wanted to do the operation anyways in case there was an improvement. safe to say i cancelled lol.

It's something they should know as it is the most basic principle of oculoplastics - Hering's Law of Equal Innervation.

It just means that when one eyelid is droopy, the other one might be raised to compensate for it, or it might even affect the brows. They should account for it

Both eyelids are controlled together by the brain.
So if one droopy eyelid is lifted surgically, the other eyelid may drop because the brain reduces the effort to lift both.

Yeah, potentially. Competent surgeons have done enough surgeries to understand how this works and they can mitigate the chances of your ptosis coming back. There's always a chance of recurrence though and its worth asking your surgeon how often they experience it, if revisions are free, etc.

No, I have not. My eyes are fine.

I remember a user on here used it and documented his results. Just search it up, and you'll prob find it.

You require a prescription to get it, but you can just buy it online, preferably from Indiamart.
