I think its conceptually wrong, but most popular normie-isms are. It is entirely possible for example, to work very hard and end up barely ahead. One imagines trying to dig a trench with a teaspoon. Or to work in the wrong direction, expending energy to make your situation worse.

I dont agree that hard work is a meme, other than that normies love to drip shit from their mouths about what hard workers they are while meeting the absolute bare minimum to not be fired. I've met teachers in asia who act hard bitten about their 25 hour work week teaching APPLE and PEAR to kids, and sees them hanging out with whores and heroin at the end of the week, like lol shut the fuck up and get the next round before i kick you in your teeth you whiny faggot.

Obviously, pre-requisites are necessary. You cant build a house without materials. You wont be an olympic sprinter without some of the genetic traits that make someone suitable for sprinting in the first place..... but even usain bolt trains on a daily basis for a reason, and in fact was a relative nobody in the sprinting world until he fixed his technique. You're also not going to be a rocket scientist with just 110iq... but you're not getting into NASA by accident just because muh IQ either. MENSA is a joke precisely because while the IQs are accurate, theres a lot of members who are completely average in terms of life achievement and income.

I think the more pernicious thing about the workforce is most people wont just admit that a lot of upward mobility is related to connections. Which is the actual reason it is desirable to go to a prestigious (read: elite) university. If hard work were sufficient in and of itself, then the people i see busting their ass on the street every day in asia would be gazillionaires.
