Pumping does not give length gains like pretty much at all.
Pumping does have girth gains ONLY if you're consistent and after a certain point they're even permanent (as long as you don't get ED and literally stop using your cock), you just have to make sure you're creating a proper seal at the base and the pressure is adequate (yours probably didnt work because the gauge was bad, that's what actually matters most).
You have to pump with an erection, otherwise you're just stretching the skin really.
