I nearly did. This roastie rejected me and almost made me cry

I know this roastie at the office. She is in her 40s, multiple kids, an ex husband. I was never interested in having a relationship with her, but I knew her for about 4 years. We would talk about 1-2 times a week, see each other in the hall way every day.

Over the years we started making more personal conversations. We talked about relationships, job interviews, made jokes etc.

Anyways, on her final day of work, I asked if she wanted to grab lunch sometimes as friends . It was a cold “no I’m busy.” I kind of expected her to say “ no, but we can stay in touch” or “no but we can grab lunch some other times. “ or at least maybe she could come back and share numbers and text sometimes. Pretty clear she never cared to see me again after nearly 4 yrs of knowing her.

Nigga the fact that u show ur emotions to a woman only makes them even happier, if they see u cry bcs of them for them it is the greatest satisfaction, even my mom was satisfied when I started crying bcs of her as a kid after she beated me up. I once had a moment in HS, when a group of some random whores in my school sat behind me while I was doing my hw and started trolling me and just giggled, didn't humiliated me or roasted me but clearly wanted to make fun of me, shipped me with some girl in their group and other BS.
Some gal started to stroke my back and touch me for several minutes in front of everyone, I just said "do not touch me ever again" and proceeded to do my thing. Nigga she stopped instantly and got humiliated in front of all her whores-friends and she closed her fucking mouth. I generally just laughed myself and did not pay any attention to them, so basically nothing happened. Just a couple of gals trying to make fun of me without any success.
