If you have a Class II you will see projection, my ortho recessed my maxilla to meet my recessed mandible. I’m getting Double jaw, CCW and genio this summer to undo the damage :lul:

is the main procedure planned to be functional or not? Im just curious as to what extent you are going towards in order to obtain the look that you want.

It’s primarily for functional reasons, but even with that focus, I’m gonna see significant aesthetic changes.

My mandible is being advanced nearly 2 Centimeters.

I know @Hernan just got BSSO

Sure, I’ve spoken to over 5 surgeons about jaw surgery and how each mechanic works.

It’s amazing how precise jaw surgery has become. They print custom plates that allow for movements and cuts with less than a millimeter of error compared to a few years ago.

As well as mapping all nerves.

did it cost money for your consultations? Also in terms of your surgery being for functional reasons, what was the process you took/are taking for the jaw surgery? like how are you able to get it?

Multiple consultations that ranged from $500-$750.

Bite, lip incompetence, mouth breathing/mild sleep apnea, chewing, ect…

Multiple orthodontist who told me there was no issue. I got a referral and visited local airway surgeon. Within 15 minutes it was deemed medically necessary.

i have all of these symptoms with the exception of mouth breathing, but i heard and from what i read that is a medical neccessity in order to obtain the surgery, along with the genio. Obviously i would need the consult of a local airway surgeon in order to figure out this issue, but is not mouth breathing a possible sign that I DONT have this issue? because i do feel my airway to be clogged up at times as well, in all honesty.
