It is, yes, just look at Zac Efron after his jaw implant, he ended up looking much worse. Models may do some looksmaxxing, sometimes hardmaxxing, but they pretty much always have close to perfect underlying bone structure.

Then again, you do not have to be the best looking guy that is the most sought after by women to become a model (especially a catwalk one), you mostly just need height, leanness, youthfulness (good skin, full head of hair), full lips, high set and prominent cheekbones. Here is an example:
