Has anyone ever profited from an app?

Looking to make an app that helps studying, system is diff in my country, but just like those SAT apps. There are some apps that just redirect to a YouTube channel, but I feel an app would be way much better.
I’ll have files for stuff and shi, and I’d still need mentors to teach that’s something I can maybe try doing.

The idea is, it’s a non profit for like the basic stuff, but you can buy some packs for private only questioning, unlocking more videos, etc…

Would this work or will people probably just leach off, if so should I like make something before the app, like build some reputation.
great idea I think cuz most of these apps are run by 40 yos teachers, mine will be run by an 18 yo who just graduated high school

Others are already famous group of teachers making an app to sort their shit out, like playlists but little more sorted. Well I’m thinking of making an app that has more interactive side, some studying method timers propoganda shi, useless advices and maybe a way to chat with fellow students? Those are all ideas other teams did but not on their app, more on a telegram channel and stuff

No plan b, and for the tutors I’m investing in some nerds in my class telling them we’re gonna make money and help the world, tho the Duolingo shi sounds great lol, I thought of it more as a library with some cool ui
