Has anyone here had extractions other than wisdom teeth?

This quarantine has given me too much time with my thoughts and I keep changing my mind about getting a bsso because I will need extractions.

I already had my wisdom teeth extracted when I was 20 so I'm worried about additional extractions.

Has anyone here had at least 6 teeth removed?

Extractions legit nuke your face if taken out when young but how badly they nuke at 20 i'm not sure. Can't imagine it's good.

I'm 30 now and there is no alternative to extractions if I decide to get a BSSO.

MSE+MSDO but this adds to the expenses and is less studied than BIMAX

I really wouldn't recommend getting teeth out tho, I had two out when I was younger due to an unresolved tongue tie issue preventing me from maintaining correct oral posture and it legit collapsed my face.

why do u get extractions for bsso i don't understand

I got 1 extraction in my upper premolar

There is not enough room to move my lower jaw forward so they need to remove 2 lower teeth to shift my teeth back to create room to perform the BSSO.

Do you have any issues with your tongue? Does chewing food still feel normal?

After the quarantine is over I will see if I can find someone in my country that can do an mse+msdo.

It’s fine but my it gave me a misaligned bite and my whole fucking face developed asymmetrically

lol get bimax then instead of extractions

No surgeon in my country will perform Bimax on me, and traveling for this type of surgery is too complicated.
that seems odd to me
@HumidVent so you have good bite, why don't you get chin wing or genio then?

I had 4 premolars extracted when I turned 16
I had one extra molar extracted 2 months ago
I will monitor if the molar extraction makes any notable difference, so far it hasn't

get dental bridge or implant ASAP! you will be left with facial asymmetry like me! 😢

what did you get extracted and how long did it take you to notice the facial asymmetry

i extracted 1 maxillary molar and 1 mandibular molar when i was in early teens. i think it took a year to get noticeable asymmetry and it worsened throughout the years significantly. keep in mind i have always been lean so i can easily notice my bone structure.

In early teens your jaw is still growing
I'm 24 so I doubt it will have that big of an impact but I might still take your advice and get an implant
