Mewing does not affect the maxilla past 12.

Now my question is about the users who experience some form of teeth shifting. What does this involve? The alveolar ridge?

Maybe there can be some benefit anyway even if it's not involving the maxila?

Nah the maxilla does change after 12. If you stop mewing (what we should be doing since birth) at 12 you will see negative changes afterwards.
