Has anyone in here genuinely changed their life by just locking in one day?

Anyone here actually done this? Just said fuck it, no more sleeping in, no more gooning or doomscrolling or wasting time, just full throttle every day for a year?

Obviously if you did this it would change your life tremendously, arguing if this is a legit strategy is not the point of this post. I'm just curious if anyone has a personal story for just going all in on one random day and what it did for you.

Personally the closest ive been was in summer 2023, was listening to a hardstyle dj set on soundcloud and just decided i would start lifting from that day on, motivation lasted about 6 months before i gave up but fuck man i got shit DONE during that time, lul

its not some magic. I didn't cut out everything but i stopped gaming, became sober, ate clean, learned new skills and it definitely did make my life better. But at the same time its still shit because I still have no friends and no hoes. Yeah it might make your life a bit better but nothing is gonna fix your face :lul:

No, this is victim blaming and/or survivor bias.

I think due to the hedonic treadmill and the fact there’s no end to the competition, whatever you do will always feel like you’ve not succeeded regardless of whether you’ve locked in or not.

I’ve been locked in for two years while waiting out braces and dental work. No dating, no holidays, no fun allowed. Just working my job, living a minimal life at my parents, saving up money, developing various side hustles none of which are useful, never skipping a workout and massively increasing my cardio work.

I feel like I’ve achieved nothing! Surgeries, especially a bimax with a decompensation requirement, are about as bad as it gets for delayed gratification.

There’s no trying for your genetics, if you have genetics, you will succeed, if you don’t, you won’t succeed, sadly, trying is useless if you don’t have the genetics

eh, some truth to this for sure. competition-wise, the only real ways to feel youve "succeeded" are to either a). be the literal best in whatever it is you put all your effort into, or b). accept that you have done all you can towards your goal and there is no more practical room for improvement - and i couldnt tell you which one is likely to come first or happen at all for the average joe

i dont mean to make you overdose on hopium, but as far as looksmaxxing goes, id like to think youre on your way towards achieving the latter of the two. youve practically finished softmaxxing, trusted the process with orthodontics/dentistry, and now have a complete hardmaxxing plan to squeeze out every last drop of gains you can get in this realm of self-improvement. at some point within this decade, the risk/reward ratio from all the surgeries is going to be unignorable and youll have to accept that youre simply finished with this objective.

i always think about this normie quote, its something like "you overestimate what you can do in a year and underestimate whats possible in a decade", it rings in my head cause i know its true. and i know youre an old fag, but i think when you hit that point and accept youve completed looksmaxxing, youll also realize you still have over half of your liveable life left to dedicate your time and effort to something, anything

idk man, life is really just about completing 8-12 major goals based on what you value most, nothiing more nothing less.
